The regional launch of the NBN network provided Commander with an opportunity to showcase their product and services in regional towns throughout Victoria. WALLOPs task was to create a campaign and activation destination to drive awareness, enquiries and sales of their services. A modular shipping container was transformed into the Commander HQ to be located in key small business hubs for the Commander sales teams and demonstrators to present/educate the NBN offering to new and existing customers. The campaign included local area pop up activation, TV, Radio, Press, Direct Mail and Door-to-Door sales teams. Immediate success was achieved with sales increasing 20-30% on new NBN connections.  



Manor Lakes is a well-established community located 40 minutes west of Melbourne in Wyndham Vale currently enjoyed by over 6,500 residents. Manor Lakes has been designed by the Dennis Family Corporation (DFC) to become a suburb of its own in future years. Each year Manor Lakes is buzzing on Easter Saturday morning with eggstra special fun with the Easter Bunny hopping around, face painting, entertainers roaming the park and free coffee for all the adults. Three mega Easter Egg Hunts commence with hundreds of eggs hidden in the ‘Local Grass Garden Terrace’. Each Hunt is split into different age groups, with entry to the Hunt free for all. The Easter Bunny is also on hand with even more chocolate and photo opportunities! Some serious fun, entertainment and lots and lots of chocolate continues to put a smile on faces of all ages! WALLOP event manage the complete project.



WALLOP partnered with Places Victoria to launch the Riverwalk Land Estate and $5.0m Interactive Water Park/Playground. Our competitive pitch was awarded the project due to our alignment with Riverwalk's core value of local community engagement. Drawing upon other successful community events - WALLOP was able to provide a full service offering including overarching event theme/concept development, planning, risk and event day execution/management. A key deliverable was an integrated key stakeholder engagement plan to include Places Victoria, local council, home builders, residents and community groups to ensure a successful result for all parties. The Riverwalk Family Day Out provided an engaging and entertaining day for over 1,000 local families to discover the wonders of the Riverwalk Interactive Park. A spectacular backdrop of landscape architecture and infrastructure provided dedicated zones to highlight the numerous features of the park and to entertain people of all ages. The event day activities included a local farmers market, kids’ amusements/entertainment, free style zone with skateboard / basketball lessons and demonstrations, multi-cultural food zone and main performance stage located within the purpose built Amphitheatre. WALLOP was able to execute a very successful event for all stakeholders including event planning, budget/project management and over delivered on key event objectives.



Each year WALLOP is the event management company for DFC to host a Christmas Party for residents of the Hunt Club in Cranbourne East. The Christmas Party is a celebration and a break from the stresses and strains of everyday life. Local families enjoy the spirit of Christmas with fabulous entertainment including a multitude of performing acts, rides, animals, face painting and Santa!



The Mitcham & Springvale Level Crossing Removal and Station Upgrade Projects provided an opportunity for Metro Trains to officially open the precincts with a local community celebration. Following 12 months of extensive construction impacting heavily on pedestrian, traffic and public transport delays, Metro wished to say Thank You to all local residents and commuters. Highlights of the events included official openings by the Premier of Victoria, free entertainment, food and fun for people of all ages and cultures. Local area advertising and letter box drops drove higher than anticipated numbers to all events. WALLOP managed the event from concept to roll out, managing all stakeholders including John Holland, Metro Trains Melbourne, The Victorian Government and VicRoads.


Boomerang Buy Back – Turning Old Into Sold

Boomerang rang Wallop with a creative challenge. They were preparing to pitch for a major project and asked how we could turn their complicated offer into an engaging and informative call to action. The animated explanational video has assisted their customers to understand their offer.


RYOBI – Better Homes & Gardens Live

RYOBI the major sponsor and exhibitor of Better Homes Gardens Live Event wished to engage with 20,000+ patrons and wanted all to leave with a memorable RYOBI experience and lasting emotional attachment to their brand.   Our strategy was to create a RYOBI zone that had maximum impact as patrons walked into the event. We also injected new energy and fresh ideas to create an awesome RYOBI experience to LEARN, PARTICIPATE, GET FREE STUFF, WIN AND HAVE FUN!   The RYOBI SHED website came to life as the event zone with live product demonstrations, hands on workshops, interactive iPad App with instant win & major sweepstakes prizes, free photos with Phil the RYOBI ONE+ Drill and Gary the RYOBI ONE+ Grinder, free RYOBI ONE+ Inflatable Hands & Show-bags. A shopping zone with never seen before RYOBI ONE+ deals and a VIP golf cart limo transfer back to your car!   The results speak for themselves - 79% of visitors visited the RYOBI Shed (the most popular sponsor feature) and 84% of those visitors rated the feature as either good or excellent.


Pet Pack – Making the most of your opportunities

Pet Pack annually exhibits at the Australian Vet Association conference, a heavy investment with a small return on their investment. “Wallop how do we leverage this opportunity to attract more people to our zone to sell more?” First step is to link your 2013 business sales and marketing strategy with the event strategy. The launch of the new Pet Pack VetLab websites and social media products and services was an exciting start.   Our next task was to make the 3 x 3 stand a destination – how did it go from a 3 x 3 shell to a destination. The zone became a movie theatre with theatre drapes, popcorn machine and seating to host the invite only Pet Pack VIP seminars.   Let’s target the vets early and invite them to attend the VIP seminar via personalised invitations, e-mail, direct mail and LinkedIn. Wallop then created an interactive and humorous animated movie to engage and clearly communicate the offer. The intrigue and interest before and during the conference surpassed expectations, especially the aroma of the freshly cooked popcorn and our new icon DUG!


Yarra Valley Water – CHOOSE TAP

Yarra Valley Water required an urgent solution to their problem of seeking a reliable partner to seamlessly manage and deliver their event assets to a large number of sponsored community and sporting events. Our strategy was to suggest a trial over three events to prove that our costs, management and excellence in delivery would provide the client with peace of mind and confidence that their new strategic partner would provide long term benefits. The right team was critical as the project required both event specialists and skilled tradesman. The assets included two large trailers [hydration stations] which required skilled drivers and qualified plumbers to transport, install and maintain but also have the flexibility to manage on ground event logistics and management. The three event trial was a success and so far in 2013 we have delivered over 30 events throughout Melbourne.

Australia Day Today Show Broadcast

Choose Tap contacted Wallop in mid January with tight deadlines and budgets to help with the creative, event management and logistics of a critical media launch with the national televised Today weekend breakfast show. Our strategy was to build instant rapport and clarity on costs with all stakeholders underpinned by the confidence that our team of skilled, flexible and experienced event and project managers would deliver above and beyond the expectations of our client. 12 days to deliver from brief to execution, it was action time at Wallop. Wallop delivered an event that began at 4am requiring management of a nationally telecast live TV show, media personalities, community leaders, community groups and public to deliver an unforgettable launch of Choose Tap.
